There's no denying the power of bodywork. Regardless of the adjectives we assign to it (pampering, rejuvenating, therapeutic) or the reasons we seek it out (a luxurious treat, stress relief, pain management), massage therapy
can be a powerful ally in your healthcare regimen.
Experts estimate that over 90% of disease is stress related and perhaps nothing ages us faster than high stress. While eliminating anxiety and pressure in this fast-paced world may be idealistic, massage can help manage stress by causing:
• Decreased anxiety.
• Enhanced sleep quality.
• Greater energy.
• Improved concentration.
• Increased circulation.
• Reduced fatigue.
Furthermore, clients often report a sense of perspective and clarity after a massage. The "emotional balance" that bodywork provides can often be just as valuable as the physical benefits.
What to expect:
Your massage will be in a warm, comfortable, quiet room. Soft music
will be playing to help you relax, or you are welcome to bring
a favorite selection of your own music. While I am out of the room, you will undress to your level of comfort, settle onto the massage table, and cover up with the clean sheet provided. You will be properly draped at all times to keep you warm and comfortable.
Only the area being worked on will be exposed.
* Please arrive 10 minutes early for your initial visit to complete a brief health history, to allow time to discuss any areas of concern you may have and to set goals for working together.
