The Hakomi Method is a mindfulness based,
assisted self-discovery. Hakomi is a Hopi word, literally translated, " How do I stand in relation to these many realms?" or, in modern terms, "Who am I?" The principles of non-violence, mindfulness, unity, organicity, and mind-body integration are the heart of the work, with an underlying foundation of safety and respect.

Hakomi is based on the idea that much of our everyday suffering is in fact unnecessary and is produced by unconscious beliefs that are no longer relevant or true. Hakomi uses little experiments, done in mindfulness, to bring such beliefs, gently and efficiently, into consciousness. These beliefs can then be re-evaluated and, where appropriate, powerfully transformed.

Hakomi is experiential, interactive, spontaneous and creative. The Hakomi method is not about talking out your problems, so it won't be a long speculative conversation. It is a method best understood by experiencing it.

"Hakomi presents some astounding methods for getting to core material. It is well grounded in theory and revolutionary in its results."
